Introduction
Ghar Wala (“we”, “us”, “our”) sells home gadgets online across Pakistan. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse or order from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this website you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
You can browse and add items to your cart without creating an account or giving us any personal information — we don’t require sign-up to shop.
When you place an order at checkout, we collect the information needed to fulfil it: your full name, phone number, email address, delivery address, city, postal code (optional), and any delivery notes you add. We do not collect or store any payment card or banking details, since we currently only offer Cash on Delivery — no online payment is processed through this site.
How we use your information
We use the information you give us to:
- Process and deliver your order
- Contact you about your order (e.g. to confirm delivery details or resolve an issue)
- Provide customer support when you reach out to us
- Maintain accurate records for accounting and legal compliance
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Fulfilling an order means sharing a limited amount of information with:
- Courier partners(such as Leopards Courier, TCS, PostEx, or M&P) — your name, phone number, and delivery address, so they can deliver your order
- Our content and order management platform (Sanity) — which securely stores your order details on our behalf
- Meta (Facebook)— see “Cookies & advertising” below
We don’t share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it to third parties.
Cookies & advertising
We use your browser’s local storage (not a tracking cookie) to remember what’s in your shopping cart between visits, purely so your cart isn’t empty if you come back later. This data stays on your device and is cleared once your order is placed, or any time you clear your browser’s site data.
We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on this site. It lets us understand how visitors use the site and helps us measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It works by placing a cookie in your browser and sharing information about the pages you view and actions you take on this site (such as viewing a product or adding it to your cart) with Meta. Meta may combine this with other information it has about you to show you relevant ads.
You can control how Meta uses this data through your Meta ad preferences, or block tracking cookies generally through your browser settings. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for details on how they handle this data.
Data retention
We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order, handle any returns or support requests, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your personal information at any time, subject to any records we’re required to keep by law.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting us using the details below. We’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our store evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date above.
